Payroll inside EOR

When Gini Talent is the employer, monthly pay, employer social security (SGK), unemployment insurance, income tax withholding, stamp tax and the report to head office sit inside that employment. This is the usual path when you have no company in Turkey.

Core employer cost items

  • Employer SGK: typically around 20.5% of gross (overview range often shown as 20%–22.5%; eligible incentive discounts may apply)
  • Employee SGK: typically around 14% of gross, withheld from pay
  • Income tax: progressive brackets (commonly described as 15%–35%)
  • Stamp tax: applied on gross salary at the published rate (commonly cited around 0.759%)

Exact treatment, floors and ceilings are confirmed in the proposal for your case — not copied from a generic calculator as a binding quote.

Filings the employer must not miss

  • Monthly SGK declarations
  • Monthly withholding (Muhtasar) declarations
  • Stamp tax on contracts and salary payments where applicable

If you already have a Turkish company

Payroll support then means processing pay for people employed by your own entity. Inputs, calendar and reporting are agreed for that scope. Not every payment route is accepted.

Questions companies ask

How are SGK contributions handled through an EOR in Turkey?

Turkey’s social security system is administered by SGK. Employers and employees both contribute. As the legal employer, the EOR manages applicable SGK registration, contributions and related payroll filings for people employed through EOR.

What employer cost items sit on top of gross salary?

Indicative guides often cite employer SGK around 20.5% of gross (overview ranges sometimes shown as 20%–22.5%; eligible incentives may reduce the effective rate). Employee SGK is withheld from pay. Income tax uses progressive brackets. Stamp tax applies on gross at the published rate. Confirm floors, ceilings and incentives in the proposal.

Which monthly filings matter for Turkish payroll?

Common employer obligations include monthly SGK declarations and monthly withholding (Muhtasar) declarations, plus stamp tax where it applies to contracts and salary payments. Late or incorrect filings can create penalties — one reason companies without a local entity use EOR.
